Bio

Linda Lieff Altabef was born and raised in the United States and immigrated to Israel in 2009. Her career has been rich and varied. She has degrees from Pratt Institute and Hartford Art School and studied with Roman Vishniac and Daniel Maloney. Early on, Linda designed textiles for companies such as Anne Klein under the direction of Donna Karan, and Calvin Klein.  She has exhibited her paintings, drawings, and sculptures in galleries and Museums in Israel, NYC, Los Angeles, and Texas such as U. Nahon Museum of Italian Jewish Art, Koresh 14 Gallery, Tova Osman Art Gallery, Terry Dintenfass Gallery, Tibor De Nagy Gallery, The Katonah Museum of Art, and The Brooklyn Museum; designed a performance set for the poet Allen Ginsberg; written for magazines such as Heresies about projects promoting Women Artists; and designed stained glass windows for synagogues in New York. Her work is in many private collections in the USA, Europe, and Israel.
